Single-component polyurethane flexible foam, which can be used throughout the year; recommended for assembling window and door blind frames and frames made of wood, PVC or aluminium; meets the technical requirements of the UNI 11673-1 standard "Installation of windows and doors". The special formulation also means it can be used at temperatures below zero, down to -10 °C. Permanently elastic, it optimally absorbs small structural movements and vibrations, compensates for thermal expansion of supports, while keeping the thermal and acoustic insulation unchanged. Low post-expansion after achieving maximum expansion. Reduced pressure on the joint
Installing doors and windows without mechanical fastenings is prohibited. The lack of mechanical couplings can cause the installed element to become deformed. The foam cannot withstand direct exposure to UV rays. Immediately after it fully hardens, protect it with plaster, paint, acrylic sealant, silicone etc. The product does not adhere to PP, PE, PTFE, silicones and surfaces treated with release agents
Hardening depends on the temperature and humidity. A decrease in the ambient temperature to below the minimum application temperature within 24 hours from application can influence the quality and/or correctness of the seal
Filling for window and door bed joints
Sealing of joints in roofs, walls and floors for dry construction work
Sealing of roller-shutter boxes
Filling and sealing of cavities subject to variations in shape and size
Thermal and acoustic insulation
Filling of expansion joints
Check that the underlying surfaces are clean, stable, free of dust and grease
Protect the surfaces exposed to accidental foam contamination
Shake the spray can vigorously at least 20 times before using it (keeping the valve turned downwards) to thoroughly mix the components
Screw the spray can on the threaded nut of the dispensing gun until it stops - do not force or bend it
If necessary, pre-treat very absorbent underlying surfaces with a suitable primer
Before applying the foam, dampen the surfaces to be treated with water
Dampen the surface of the foam each time if it is applied in several layers
Fill vertical joints from bottom to top
Do not completely fill the joints - the volume of the foam will continue to expand after application
If the application is interrupted for more than 5 min., it is recommended that you clean the nozzle of the gun with Purlogic® Clean cleaner art. 0892160 and shake the spray can again before the next use
