- Provides a particularly brilliant finish and optimal application on solvent-based or water-based base paints
- Guarantees optimal curing, particularly with oven drying but also at room temperature
- Can be polished immediately after forced drying and highly resistant to the effects of weathering as well as to mechanical stress and chemical influences
- Also suitable as a protective layer for neon colours (fluorescent colours)
Instructions
Optimal application: Apply a thin, sealed ½ spray coat, then finish with 1 continuous spray coat. Forced drying is recommended to ensure optimal curing.
- Mixing ratio by volume: 2 parts coat to 1 part hardener
- Pot life at 20 °C: 2.5 h
- Spraying viscosity, 4 mm gravity flow cup: 19-22 seconds
Application method
- Gravity flow cup (high-pressure technology): pressure: 2-2.5 bar, nozzle: 1.2-1.3 mm, spray coatings: 1.5, dilution 0-5 %
- HVLP (low-pressure technology): pressure: 2-2.2 bar, nozzle: 1.2-1.3 mm, spray coatings: 1.5, dilution: 0-5 %
Flash-off time
- 1-3 min between the spray coatings
- 10-15 min before oven drying
- Dry layer thickness: 50-60 μm
Drying time
- 20 °C: dust dry: 25-35 min, touch dry: 12 h, assembly ready: 24 h
- 60 °C: touch dry: 30 min, assembly ready: 2 h
- Short-wave IR drying: touch dry: 8 min
- Medium-wave IR drying: touch dry: 10-15 min
