White zinc plated steel, double thread, socket head, AW drive
Head:
Small socket head - ideal for sinking into wood
Thread:
Asymmetrical coarse pitch single thread lowers screwing time by 30 %
Synthetic lubricant coating:
Screws in easily due to sharp threads with glide-promoting coating
Tip with mating thread:
•Ensures less cracking of the wood
•Reduces screw-in torque
AW drive:
- Optimum centring
- Maximum contact surface of the tip in the drive, therefore no expulsion forces
Substitute or related products:
- ASSY 3.0 TL
- ASSYplus VG
The ASSY Isotop screw is secured to the joists without pre-drilling by means of counter-battens and insulation, for example. On very dry wood (e.g. when renovating old roofs), an 8 mm pre-drilled hole in the counter-battens is recommended.
Würth's dimensioning software can be used for customised construction instructions. Use this formula to quickly find the screw length (in mm).
ETA-11/0190
When using these screws, please follow ETA-11/0190 specifications.
Securing the insulation layer to ventilated roofs with insulation installed on the rafters and securing curtain walls to the insulation layers.
Roof application 1
- For soft insulation <, with a compressive strength of less than 0.06 N/mm2
For soft insulation with resistance to pressure of less than 0.06 N/mm2 such as glass wool, rockwool, ecological insulation = use an alternative screwing method with an angle of 60° to the joist plank.
Roof application 2
- For "hard" insulation, with a compressive strength of > 0.06 N/mm2
For non-slip insulation with resistance to pressure exceeding 0.06 N/mm2 such as polyurethane foam (PUR) or polystyrene (PDS) = parallel screwing method with an angle of 60° to the joist plank.
Required screw length calculation:
- Counter-batten thickness in mm
- + insulation thickness in mm
- + panelling thickness in mm
- + 60 mm screw-in depth
Partial result in mm x slope factor of 1.15
- Final result in mm
- Use a screw that is larger than the resulting figure
