Extremely high heat resistance of up to 300 °C

Sealant with a high elastic modulus and long-term elasticity

  • Outstanding resistance to ageing

  • Ideal for external and internal use

  • Weather- and UV-resistant
Notice

Limitations for use

  • Not suitable for use on natural stone and surfaces such as marble, granite, quartzite, concrete, fibre cement and mortar

  • Acetic acid produced by silicone during crosslinking may lead to corrosion of untreated metallic surfaces

  • For applications on aluminium (untreated, anodised and powder-coated), chrome plated or porous surfaces, use the appropriate Würth silicone primer art. 0890170

  • Not suitable for sealing cylinder heads or components that are in continuous contact with fuels

Warnings

Cannot be painted over. The time required for complete curing may be longer at lower temperatures, at lower humidity, with increased joint thicknesses or with reduced air flow. During curing, the sealant releases a small amount of acetic acid, which may irritate the eyes and mucous membranes. Ventilate the working environment well. In case of accidental contact with the eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice

Joint size

The width and depth of the joint are extremely important and must be planned based on the dimensions of the object to be sealed, so that the sealant can follow the movements of the adjacent materials without breaking or separating (maximum elongation). These movements are caused by thermal expansion and various types of settling of the different materials that make up the objects

Product complies with UNI EN ISO 11600

Important information:

The product is not suitable for structural bonding, e.g. of continuous structural façades (structural glazing). Does not adhere to plastics such as PTFE, PE and PP or to damp surfaces. Not suitable for sealing and constructing aquariums or for underwater sealing. Not suitable for bonding mirrors. Due to the variety of existing materials and finishes, it is always necessary to carry out preliminary tests for your specific product application to avoid unwanted reactions. Given the wide variety of materials used, it is always necessary to carry out preliminary tests. Does not adhere to plastics such as PTFE, PE and PP
