Exceptional resistance to ageing and temporary resistance to oils and fuels
High elastic modulus with permanent elasticity
Maintains its elasticity in the presence of a heat load up to 250 ºC
High resistance to high temperatures
- Exists when there is temporary contact with chemicals such as oils and fuels
- Recommended for work on motor parts
- The properties of the silicone remain unchanged, always ensuring a good level of sealing
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications
- Resistance to atmospheric agents and UV rays
Important information
The product is not suitable for structural bonding, e.g. structural facades (structural glazing). Given the variety of paints and other coatings, we recommend compatibility testing to rule out undesirable reactions. Given the wide variety of materials used, it is always necessary to carry out preliminary tests. Does not adhere to plastics such as PTFE, PE and PP
Restrictions on use
- For applications on aluminium (untreated, anodised and powder-coated), chrome or porous surfaces, use primer
- It is not suitable for sealing the cylinder head or elements that are continuously in contact with fuels
- It is not suitable for use on surfaces such as marble, granite, quartzite, concrete, asbestos cement and mortar
- Acetic acid emitted from the silicone during the crosslinking may lead to corrosion of untreated metal surfaces
It cannot be painted over. During curing, the sealant emits a small quantity of acetic acid, which may irritate the eyes and mucous membranes. Ventilate the working environment well. In the event of accidental contact with eyes, wash thoroughly with water and consult a doctor
While the technical advice given is based on our experience and should be followed, it is purely indicative and must be confirmed through extensive practical tests. It does not relieve the purchaser of their responsibility to personally test our products to see whether they are suitable for the intended use
Product complies with UNI EN ISO 11600
Sealing of expansion joints and fittings in contact with or near surfaces that reach particularly high temperatures
Exceptional adhesion to metal and glass
Suitable for industrial use
For sealing joints subject to a permanent heat load in the field of mechanical engineering and heating systems (e.g. boilers, heat exchangers, flanges, cylinder heads, ovens, hobs, extractor hoods, fireplaces, etc.)
All surfaces of the joint should be perfectly clean and dry. Porous joint flanks should be pretreated with the appropriate undercoat Würth silicone primer. Do not alter the size of the joint. Avoid adhesion on three sides. Extrude the sealant without introducing air during filling of the joint. Smooth out within 5 minutes from application with Würth's special smoothing agent and spatula.
