Fixing rivets WRIV (supplied with the product)

12 specific aluminium structural rivets dia. 7.7 x 27.7 mm

Specific component for mounting on corrugated sheet metal (193, 224, 250 or 336 mm spacing) or other sheet metal, as long as the supporting surface of the sliding shoes is correctly resting on the sheet metal

Must be attached to the sheet metal using only the specific rivetsWRIV (supplied with the product)

Suitable for 360° use

In the event of a fall, the anchoring device may deform without breaking and can resist a nominal arrest load of 1050 daN

The anchoring device may be used exclusively for rescue operations, within its operating range and if in perfect working order

Advantages of A2 (AISI 304) stainless steel:

  • remains unchanged over time, being resistant to weathering-induced corrosion

  • because of its intrinsic characteristics, the material can dissipate more energy, in the event of a fall, compared to zinc-plated steel, thereby reducing the need for maintenance operations on the attachments and on the connection structure
Notice

The deflection and displacement values refer to the load condition relative to the fall arrest of the first user

Warranty:

10 years for materials (from the date of purchase)

Base material:

Certification tests for the anchoring device were carried out on an insulated panel 30 mm thick with sheet steel 0.5 mm thick, with the edge structuralised over a surface of 1 m² and fixed directly on a high-rigidity support (steel). Point 7 of standard UNI 11578 specifies that test results do not provide information on the structure's ability to absorb loads that may develop during use. It is the designer's responsibility to ensure that the installation conditions are appropriate for the type of base material indicated above and to assess the structure's ability to absorb fall arrest loads

Mounting:

Anchoring devices must be mounted by placing the sliding shoes on the raised parts of the metal sheet (193, 224, 250 or 336 mm spacing) or alternatively on flat sheet metal roofing to ensure that the supporting surface for the sliding shoes is correct. They must be fixed to the sheet metal support using 12 WRIV aluminium rivets dia. 7.7 x 27.7 mm (supplied with the product), using all of the holes on the sliding shoes. The rivets must be inserted in the dia. 7.8 mm holes made in the sheet metal using only the HSS 7.8 mm twist drill bit (specifically for the WRIV rivets and included in the WRIVKS set) and pulled through with a WRVL lever riveter. The structural integrity of the mounting and the mounting of the device must be checked by a qualified technician using calculations or tests

Component with high installation risk:

The component has successfully passed both the static and dynamic certification tests for two simultaneous users. In the design phase and then in the installation phase, these conditions must be satisfied for the base material to be considered structural. If they are not, structural reinforcements must be accurately designed and implemented (e.g. using WLMS and/or WLMS170 structuring). Remember that sheet metal roofs are particularly susceptible to thermal expansion; any structuring must take this into account

Anchorage to the load-bearing structure:

The support must be assessed and the anchor must be sized by a qualified technician. The suitability of the support for absorbing the stress exerted by the falling operator must always be tested (see standard UNI 11560:2022)

Certifications:

The anchoring device has undergone the tests required by standard UNI 11578:2015 and is compliant with type A. The ideal number of operators for using this device is stated in the catalogue. The certification will no longer be valid if the product is disassembled, altered, modified or improperly installed. Certifications can be downloaded from the website: www.wuerth.it/progettisti/prodotti/linea-vita/

Periodic inspection:

The anchoring system is subject to regular mandatory inspection at intervals of no more than 2 years, as required by Point 9.2.3. of standard UNI 11560:2022. The regular inspections must be performed by the intermediate installer and/or qualified technician, always assuming liability for the activity undertaken. The checks to be performed refer to the table 1, 2 and 3 of UNI 11560:2022
