The major advantage is that the rivet can be inserted from one side, i.e. can be mounted blind.

For connecting thin-walled plates or for use with hollow profile structures.
Instructions
The rivet is inserted into the nozzle of the processing tool by the mandrel and introduced into the hole by the rivet body.
When the tool is operated, the clamping jaws grip the mandrel and retract it.
