- Waterproof membrane that allows vapour to escape and protects the insulation against water and wind
- Three-layer composition with a polypropylene non-woven fabric base
- Also available in a 2SK version, with double-sided adhesive tape built into the overlap area to ensure a perfect seal
- We recommend carefully sealing all overlaps and joins of the breathable membrane to ensure a perfect seal over the entire surface
- The underlay cannot be used as a support for the direct attachment of tiles or slates using polyurethane foam
- Cannot be used as a final roof covering
- ROOF TRASP SL 170 roof underlays can be laid directly on the thermal insulation or on the wooden planks of ventilated pitched roofs
- Begin laying from the bottom and, holding the underlay slightly taut, proceed parallel to the line of the eaves
- Attach the underlay to the beams (with discontinuous support) or to the planks (with continuous support) with crimping in the overlap area (marked with a cut-off line) 5 cm from the edge
- The next layer should be laid so that it overlaps the previous layer by at least 10 cm (see marking on the edge). If the roof is not very steep, the layers should overlap by at least 20 cm. The overlap must always be glued and sealed with adhesive tape from the Eurasol® range: Eurasol®, art. 0992700050, Eurasol® Max, art. 0992710160, Euradop®, art. 0992710160 or with Wütop WRD adhesive (art. 0893700155116)
- Fix the layers in place with counter battens mounted parallel to the beams (from the line of the ridge to the guttering). We recommend applying Eurasol® nail sealing tape, art. 0875851145/160, under each counter batten to help prevent water ingress. Fixing the sheeting with staples should only be used as a temporary solution to assist with the laying process. Counter battens must always be used for permanent fixing.
- Users who fit the underlay without counter battens do so at their own risk!
- Vertical overlap must be over a beam or a solid support and should be bonded and sealed with Eurasol® tape (see above) or with CONNECT ADHESIVE ALL-IN-ONE, art. 0893700111
- Where there are openings or gaps in the roof (chimneys, skylights etc.), the underlay should be cut and positioned in such a way as to prevent the ingress of water. Surround the element with the underlay and raise it at the sides. Then glue and seal the joins with adhesive tape from the Eurasol® range (see above)
- Damage such as cuts or cracks must be repaired using pieces of the same underlay glued and sealed with Eurasol® Max adhesive tape, art. 0992710160. Minor damage can be repaired directly with the same adhesive tape
- When laying the underlay, carefully check that it is in perfect condition and that there is no damage of any kind (cuts, abrasions etc.)
- The final roof covering (tiles) must be installed within a maximum of 3 months of the underlay being laid, to prevent damage from UV rays
- In ventilated roofs, the underlay should always be installed so as to ensure correct air flow between the eaves and the ridge
