The apparatus contains a capsule of ion-exchange resins, which react with certain components in drinking water as it passes through the capsule, reducing the hardness value, allowing demineralised water of 0.2 μScm-1 to be obtained from drinking water at 20°C, fully compliant with the requirements of VDE0510 and also CEI/EN 62877-2:2016-5 and IEC 62877-2:2016-01
Device for producing distilled water for industrial and technical use
The water leaves the chemical distiller with a fixed conductivity value of approximately 0.2 μScm-1 at 20°C, irrespective of the value of the same water parameter upon intake. This value is guaranteed to be fixed and constant until the demineralising capacity of the resins has been exhausted
It operates under water pressure only and does not require maintenance
It produces approx. 10 litres of distilled water per hour
The depletion of the capsule can be externally monitored
The amount of distilled water from each capsule varies greatly depending on the hardness of the water to be demineralised (approx. 700 l) water tap connector R3/4 inch (gas)
The coloured resins inside the device become lighter in colour as the demineralising power is depleted. When the resin has completely changed colour, it needs to be replaced.
The chemical distiller must be connected to a supply point/tap of drinking water. The device acts on the water hardness/conductivity parameter.
