- Excellent water resistance, fast drying, very short setting times when used with hot presses, adhesive line with excellent resistance to high temperatures; machining of finished parts will not wear tools significantly. D3 durability class in accordance with DIN EN 204, as a single component (ift Rosenheim, CATAS and WKI certified), D4 durability class in accordance with DIN EN 204, when mixed with hardener art. 089210024(ift Rosenheim certification)
The open time and drying time largely depend on the working conditions, such as temperature, humidity, absorption by the surface and the amount of adhesive applied. Staining of wood: Due to the varying natures of wooden components as a result of their origins and pre-treatments applied, discolouration may occur on some woods such as beech and cherry. Avoid contact with ferrous materials as this may cause a bluish discolouration on contact with the tannin in the wood. Parts must be assembled within the open time and pressed for the time needed to obtain sufficient initial adhesive strength. Apply sufficient pressure to ensure contact between the parts and the entire bonded surface area. The bonding force required for subsequent machining will be reached quickly and depends on the material and type of bonding. It will take at least seven days for the product to be fully water resistant. If the product is stored for long periods of time, it may become slightly more viscous. Simply stir the product in order to use it
Storage conditions: Store in a clean, dry place above +5 °C. Temperatures above +25 °C will significantly reduce the product's service life
Suitable for use where there is a possibility of frequent and prolonged exposure to water, condensation and ambient humidity, for bonding HPL and CPL laminates with short-cycle presses, general assembly, bonding plywood and blockboard with softwoods and hardwoods, bonding surfaces with decorative finishing sheets, high-frequency bonding, laminating edges using veneering, bonding plastic laminates to solid wood in stationary presses. The product is suitable for hot or cold bonding of softwoods, hardwoods and resinous woods: fir, pine, poplar, beech, oak, cherry, walnut, chestnut
Apply the adhesive on one side or, if a high degree of water resistance is required, on both sides using glue spreading machines, rollers, spatulas or other suitable equipment. For the best results, observe the following working conditions: Ambient and material temperatures: 18-20 °C. Moisture content of the wood: 8-10 %. Relative humidity: 40-60 %. Amount of adhesive applied: for surface bonding: 60-140 g/m²; for assembly: 160-180 g/m²
Open time with coating of 150 g/m²: 8-10 minutes. Applied pressure, depending on the type of bonding: 0.1-0.8 N/mm². Minimum setting time: bonding of surfaces with decorative finishing sheets: 5-10 seconds; high-frequency bonding using longitudinal heating: min. 15 seconds. Bonding time: bonding HPL or CPL laminates in presses at +70 °C min. 45 seconds, assembly 8-15 minutes, bonding panels 10-15 minutes. Mixing ratio (for D4 class): 100 parts adhesive to 5 parts hardener. Thoroughly mix the adhesive and hardener, preferably using a motorised agitator at low speed. Service life of the mixture: approx. 12 hours at +20 °C; higher temperatures will reduce the service life. At the end of the service life, any remnant of mixed product cannot be reused and must be disposed of.
