- Fast setting and very high strength
- Yellow, after painting the glue line is less evident
- Fast drying, including drips
- Tough-elastic glue line
- Density 1.08 g/cm3The product does not contain mineral fillers
- A filled product can have an even density of 1.30 g/cm3
- The glue is spread in volume, and then the filled product with the same processing consumes about a 25% higher
- In canister, filled product occupies 70-75% of the volume, without fillers 90-95%
- The paste colour tends to be grey or yellow in filled products
- Filled products tend to have a grey glue line
- The adhesive power of the universal D2 product is more than 30-40% versus filled products
Protect from frost!
Do not apply below 6/10°C
The product has a high penetration capacity, so on more precise work, in very low temperatures or high moisture content of wood (greater than 12%) the adhesive may be completely absorbed by the substrate
MDF = sand down if too shiny
Gluing at temperatures below 15°C may be ineffective
Storage at temperatures below 5°C and above 35°C can damage the product
In the summer, increase temperatures significantly reduces the opening time
The technical advice, although based on our best experience, is in any case merely indicative and must be confirmed by exhaustive practical tests. This does not eliminate the purchaser's responsibility to personally test our products to see whether they are suitable for the planned use
Class D2 under EN 204/205
Specific to the production of chairs and tables where high resistance is required
Indicated for interior cabinets, where there is possible short and occasional exposure to water and ambient humidity
Installation and bonding of hard wood and resinous wood: beech, oak, cherry, walnut, chestnut
Mix well before each application. Apply glue evenly with brush, dispenser, or pneumatic spreader. Avoid contact with ferrous materials, which could cause blueish stains in contact with the tannin of wood. The curing time and bonding speed are influenced by temperature, humidity, porosity of the material and the amount of product used. The best results are obtained under the following conditions: temperature of the product, surface and environment: 18-20°C; moisture content of wood: 8-12%. Fresh product residues can be removed with water, hardened glue with nitro thinner or acetone
Open time:
Average 8 – 10 minutes. This is the maximum time that can elapse between spreading and pressing at a temperature of 20°C both for the environment and for the wood, air humidity 50% and wood moisture content 10%
This time is less if:
- the temperature is greater than 20°C
- the air humidity is less than 50%
- moisture content of the wood is less than 10%
Increases if:
- the temperature is greater than 20°C
- the air humidity is less than 50%
- moisture content of the wood is less than 10%
Setting time:
- medium-fast 10 – 15 minutes. This is the time that the item must remain pressed at a temperature of 20°C both for the environment and for the wood, air humidity 50% and moisture content of the wood 10%
- for further processing it is preferable to wait at least 24 hours.
- Given its particular structure, sometimes the drying of the glue line is complete even if the drop is still moist
Viscosity:
- not to be confused with the density; this is the difficulty of the product to flow
- 20000 ± 2000 mPas, average
- do not dilute the product
