The one piece connector is officially approved for specific hoses only.
One piece connectors have been tested/certified for use with Bridgestone/Intertraco tubes.
The official compression dimensions are in use when the one piece connector is attached to a Bridgestone/Intertraco tube.
One piece connectors have not been tested for use with Tekno/Premier tubes.
Note the stripes on the sleeve and the type-K or type-J marking on the one piece connector.
K: Designed for a two-layer cross-fabric hose, sizes: 1/4 inch = 04 and 3/8 inch = 06.
Hoses with type-J markings can be used in both two-layer and three-layer cross-fabric hoses as well as four-layer spiral hoses. Sizes 1/2 inch = 08 to 1 1/4 inch = 20 are available.
The strength of a type-K sleeve is significantly lower than that of a type-J sleeve. Both types have their own tables that state their compression values.
