Specially developed for sealing metal surfaces in the light metal joinery and sheet metal working industries
- Excellent stability at high and low temperatures, permanent elasticity over time. Odourless, rapid curing upon contact with normal air humidity
- Does not affect metal surfaces or any surface treatments
- Outstanding resistance to ageing, UV rays and weathering
Limitations for use
- Not suitable for use on natural stone and surfaces such as marble, granite and quartzite, as it may cause staining
- For application on iron, steel, stainless steel and porous materials, it is advisable to pre-treat the surfaces with Würth silicone primer art. 0890170
Warnings
Cannot be painted over. The time required for complete curing may be longer at lower temperatures, at lower humidity or with wider joints
Joint size
The width and depth of the joint are extremely important and must be planned based on the dimensions of the object to be sealed, so that the sealant can follow the movements of the adjacent materials without breaking or separating (maximum elongation). These movements are caused by thermal expansion and various types of settling of the different materials that make up the objects
Product complies with UNI EN ISO 11600
DOP declaration of performance tested in accordance with EN 15651-1
Important information
The product is not suitable for structural bonding, e.g. of continuous structural façades (structural glazing). Does not adhere to plastics such as PTFE, PE and PP or to damp surfaces. Not suitable for sealing and constructing aquariums or for underwater sealing. Not suitable for bonding mirrors. Due to the variety of existing materials and finishes, it is always necessary to carry out preliminary tests for your specific product application to avoid unwanted reactions
While the technical advice given is based on our experience and should be followed, it is purely indicative and must be confirmed through extensive practical tests. This does not relieve the purchaser of their responsibility to personally test our products to see whether they are suitable for the intended use
Particularly indicated for flashing work. Good adhesion on galvanized steel and pre-painted, iron, aluminium, tin, lead, bronze, copper, brass, etc. Applicable on porous and non-porous materials
All joint surfaces must be perfectly clean, thoroughly degreased and dry. At the points where the sheets overlap, extrude the product to form a bead of sealant approximately 1 cm wide. Overlap the sheets, pressing them together, and apply another bead of sealant along the entire joined section. Smooth the seal within 5 minutes of application of the product using the special Würth smoothing agent art. 0893003 and Würth joint smoothers art. 0891 184.... Drill the sheet and apply rivets. Seal the rivets too and level the sealant with a joint knife. Extrude the sealant in suitable quantities without introducing air while filling the joint
