Sizing of the joint:
The size of the joint is extremely important and must be designed on the basis of the dimensions of the object to be sealed so that the sealant can follow the movements without breaking and separating (maximum operating length)
The product is not suitable for structural bonding, e.g. structural facades (structural glazing). Given the variety of paints and other coatings, we recommend compatibility testing to rule out undesirable reactions. Given the wide variety of materials used, it is always necessary to carry out preliminary tests. Does not adhere to plastics such as PTFE, PE and PP
It cannot be painted over and is not suitable for underwater sealing
While the technical advice given is based on our experience and should be followed, it is purely indicative and must be confirmed through extensive practical tests. This does not relieve the purchaser of their responsibility to personally test our products to see whether they are suitable for the intended use
Product conforms with UNI EN ISO 11600
Declaration of performance DOP tested in accordance with EN 15651 – Part 2
For sealing between glass and door/window frames and between door/window frames and walls. Suitable for different types of door/windows frames: pre-painted metal, aluminium, anodised aluminium, PVC and wood. Also suitable for facade connection joints of balconies and terraces
The sides of the joint must be clean, degreased and dry. To achieve clean sealing, without smearing, it is best to apply masking tape on the edges of the joint. Pretreat porous surfaces with primer for silicones. Extrude the silicone in generous quantities without introducing air during the filling of the joint. Smooth out within 5 minutes from application with a spatula for sealants and the special smoothing agent for silicones, applying the right amount of pressure to optimally apply silicone in the joint. Clean tools and any unhardened silicone burrs with paint cleaner. Hardened silicone can only be removed mechanically
