Check for holes or hairline cracks
The device inflates the glove with air to detect any leaks and reveals damage not visible to the naked eye
Easy visual inspection
When the glove is inflated it stretches, making any defects, cracks or signs of wear more evident
Operator safety
Ensures that the glove is still fit for purpose and reduces the risk of electrocution when working on electrical systems
Checks for insulating gloves
- Gloves must be cleaned and inspected visually before use. For unlined gloves, inflation with air is recommended to detect any holes
- Periodic dielectric testing is mandatory. This must be carried out every 12 months for Classes 00 and 0, and every 6 months for Classes 1-4
- Checks must be carried out by qualified and trained personnel
- Reference standards: IEC EN 60903 and IEC 11-31
