The plastic primer is comparable with standard coatings. Its benefit is in reducing the effort needed to prepare the surface. No labour-intensive step is needed to activate the plastic surface. The treatments previously used for plastic surfaces, such as tempering, flame treatment, sanding or applying an adhesion agent, are not needed. The surfaces must only be clean, dry and grease-free.
Due to the number of plastics available on the market, a compatibility test must be carried out in an inconspicuous area.
The usage instructions are recommendations based on the tests we have conducted and on our experience; we advise conducting your own tests before each application. Make sure the spray can is at optimum working temperature before use. (20°C)
Hold the can upside down, shake it well until you can hear the mixing balls and then shake for another 30 seconds.
Maintain a spraying distance of 20 – 30 cm to the object. Apply in two thin coats with approx. 10-minutes of flash-off time between coats.
The coating is resistant to dust after approx. ten minutes, and can be painted over with all standard 1C and 2C paint systems after one to two hours.
The primer can also be coated over after several days without sanding.
If sanding is required, it is advisable to let it dry overnight.
Turn the can upside down after use and spray until it is clean of paint.
