- PVA glue with high adhesive strength, for gluing indoors
- Once hardened the glue becomes semi-transparent, without undergoing discolouration
- tough-elastic glue line
- Density 1.05 g/cm3The product does not contain mineral fillers
- Filled product can have an even density of 1.30 g/cm3
- The glue is spread in volume, and then the filler product, according to working, consumes about a 25% more
- In canister a product with fillers, occupies 70-75% of the volume, the one without fillers 90-95%
- The paste colour tends to be grey or yellow in filled products
- Filled products tend to leave a grey glue line
- The adhesive power of the universal D2 product is more than 30-40% versus filled products
Protect from frost!
Do not apply below 6/10°C
Gluing at temperatures below 15°C may cause defect
Storage at temperatures below 5°C and above 35°C can damage the product
In summer, increases in temperature significantly reduces the open time
The technical advice, though based on our best experience, must, in any case, merely indicative and must be confirmed by exhaustive practical tests. It does not remove the purchaser's responsibility to personally test our products to see whether they are suitable for the planned use
Class D2 under EN 204/205
The glue is suitable for interior furniture, where there may be short and occasional exposure to water, condensation and humidity
Suitable for entrances, bedrooms, living rooms
Not suitable for hard and resinous woods
Gluing of softwoods
Solid to particle board
Particle board to particle board
Finishing with laminates
Mounting of joint plugs
Mix well before each application. Apply glue evenly with glue roller, brush, dispenser, serrated steel or plastic trowel or pneumatic spreader. Avoid contact with ferrous materials, which may cause bluish stains in contact with the tannin of the wood. The curing time and bonding speed are influenced by temperature, humidity, porosity of the material and the amount of product used. The best results are obtained in the following conditions: temperature of the product, surface and environment 18-20°C; humidity of wood: 8-12%. Residues of fresh product can be removed with water, hardened glue with nitro thinner, acetone or painting cleaner
Open time:
15 – 20 minutes. This is the maximum time that can elapse between spreading and pressing at a temperature of 20°C both for the environment and for the wood, coating of 150 g/m2, air humidity 50% and moisture content of the wood 10%
This time is reduced if:
- it is spread less than 150 g/m2
- the temperature is above 20°C
- the air humidity is lower than 50%
- the wood humidity is below 10%
- if the gluing takes place in environments with particularly hot air currents
Increases if:
- if spreading more than 150 g/m2
- the temperature is lower than 20°C
- the air humidity is higher than 50%
- the wood humidity is above 10%
Setting time:
- 30 – 40 minutes. This is the time that the item must remain pressed at a temperature of 20°C both for the environment and for the wood, coating of 150 g/m2, air humidity 50% and moisture content of the wood 10%
- for further processing it is preferable to wait at least 24 hours
This is reduced if:
- if spreading less than 150 g/m2
- the temperature is higher than 20°C
- the air humidity is lower than 50%
- the wood humidity is below 10%
Increases if:
- if spreading more than 150 g/m2
- the temperature is lower than 20°C
- the air humidity is higher than 50%
- the wood humidity is above 10%
Viscosity:
- not to be confused with the density; this is the difficulty of the product to flow
- 25000 ± 3000 mPas, medium – high
- It can be reduced with the addition of water up to 2 – 3%
Pressing time (at 20°C): 30 – 40 min.
