Repairs and protection of load bearing structures in concrete
Repair of degraded concrete elements, edges of pillars and beams, damaged balcony base fronts
Replacement of concrete that has been contaminated by harmful substances, such as those released by the reinforcement iron due to oxidation
Reinforcement operations, enlargement of the section and increase of the iron-covering layer thickness
Ideal for repairing surfaces that are in direct contact with water (drainage conduits, pipelines, etc.) thanks to its high resistance to sulphates
Repair of surface defects such as gravel nests, joint shrinkage, formwork spacer holes, exposed rods, etc.
Preparing the surface:
The underlying surface must be dry, free of dust, not frozen, absorbent, as uniform as possible, rough and solid. Check that there is no efflorescence or residue of release agent or other similar products on the surface. When the surface is ready, it must be saturated before the product can be applied. The surface must be prepared as described in the EN 1504-10 standard
Preparing the mixture:
Mix one sack of RINNOVA R TISSOTROPICA (25 kg) with 4.5 litres of clean water using a suitable agitator for as long as it takes to obtain a uniform mixture. Mix at low speed to avoid trapping air bubbles
The product can be applied wet either manually or using a machine, with a minimum compressor capacity of 400 l/min. The product can be applied in one or more coats up to a maximum overall thickness of 45 mm. First of all, smooth out any cavities or irregularities in the surface, then spread the desired layer of mortar. Any joint lines on the surface must always be reinforced and reconstructed. The surface can be smoothed and levelled within the product's workability time. Any leftover product kept in open sacks cannot be reused and should not be mixed with fresh product
