The single-piece fittings have been tested/certified for use with Bridgestone/Intertraco hoses.
The official compression dimensions apply when the single-piece fitting is connected to a Bridgestone/Intertraco hose.
The single-piece fittings have not been tested for use with Tekno/Premier hoses.
Note the stripes on the ferrules and type K or J mark on the single-piece fitting.
K: For 2-ply braided hose, sizes 1/4 inch = 04 and 3/8 inches = 06.
The J mark indicates suitability for use in both 2-ply braided, 3-ply braided and 4-ply spiral hoses, available in sizes 1/2 inch = 08 - 1 1/4 inch = 20.
The strength of a Type K ferrule is significantly lower than that of a Type J ferrule. The two types have their own compression tables.
