Has an insoluble crystallising effect (osmotic healing) in the capillaries of the concrete structure, forming a barrier against negative and positive water pressures. Resistant on surfaces in industrial and marine areas
Breathable coating
- maintains water vapour permeability
- waterproof and cement-based, applicable on indoor and outdoor concrete walls
- suitable for waterproofing concrete structures of foundations, below the water table, subject to infiltration
High workability
- high adhesion on and penetration into the underlying material
- the ease of application makes the job economical and fast
Concrete products
- the product can also be used to waterproof new or degraded channels, tanks, pipelines and tunnels
- resistant on surfaces in industrial and marine areas
Crystallising effect
- insoluble in capillaries of concrete structures
- forms a barrier against negative and positive water pressure
Mix with cold water, or in winter, water at about 20°C. Never mix with other binders such as cement, lime, chalk, aggregates, additives etc. Do not apply the product on surfaces subject to settling or structural movements. Do not add water when the product has already started to set. Do not perform operations at temperatures too low or high and in the presence of strong wind. In the case of hot or windy environmental conditions, protect and/or wet the surface, in order to prevent drying out too quickly
The technical advice given, while based on our best experience, should in any event be considered purely as guidance and should be confirmed by comprehensive practical tests. The purchaser is in any event responsible for personally testing our products to ensure their suitable for the planned use
Suitable for internal waterproofing of concrete structures subject to infiltration: cellars, foundation walls, lift shafts and underground parking garages. It can also be used to waterproof new or degraded concrete channels, tanks containing water, pipelines and tunnels
Apply with brush, top downwards, remixing during the operation. Apply the first coat until obtaining a covering and even layer. When the second layer is hardening, proceed with the second coat in the same manner as the first
Preparation of surfaces:
The surface to be covered must be solid and clean; carefully remove all loose parts, stains, oily residues, release agents, rust, lime, dust and all impurities in general. Any ingress of water should be previously blocked with instant-setting hydraulic cement. It is best to thoroughly wet the surface several times until saturation, so that the product absorbs all water, both for the osmotic process and for the chemical drying reactions. Excess water in the form of surface film must be removed with sponges
Preparation of the product:
Add in a continuous stream a bag of Hydrobeton to 20% of previously prepared clean water (5 litres per 25 kg bag), and mix with a drill at low speed. Mix the product until it is free of lumps, homogeneous, gelatinous and brushable
