Notice
- Product performance is assured if the dimensions of the installation joint are compatible with the usage patterns of the tape (min.-max. joint width)
- The product must only be applied on three sides of the window or door, i.e. not on the bottom, where there may be standing water. Apply Würth PVC tape to this side. It is advisable to seal the point where the two pieces of tape meet with spreadable sealing film, taking care to apply it on the vertical part at least 5 cm from the base
- The seal must be applied directly on the construction site before the window is installed
- The width of the roll must be equal to or slightly smaller than the depth of the joint
- The expansion speed depends on the ambient temperature and storage time: cold/long storage = slow expansion, hot/short storage = fast expansion
- To facilitate correct and regular expansion, it is advisable to pre-cool the tape if the ambient temperature is above +20°C and to pre-heat the tape if the ambient temperature is close to +5°C
- Do not leave the product inside a vehicle in summer or in hot environments
- Partially used rolls must be closed with the original adhesive tape, stored in their box and held in place with a weight to prevent them from opening sideways (telescopic effect)
- The outer side of the installation joint must NOT be hermetically sealed as this would prevent transpiration and encourage harmful moisture stagnation
