Sealing of expansion joints in building construction. Thermal insulation and watertight sealing between window and wall brackets, wall boxes, partition walls, insulation panels, plumbing, container construction, etc. Insulates against wind, drafts, noise and dust. It can be directly exposed to the weather when compressed between the two elements, taking into account the characteristics of use. Dampens vibrations and follows the expansion. Protects against dirt and will not be attacked by birds. Suitable for concrete, stone, clay brick, metal, wood, hard PVC, plexiglass, gypsum plasterboard, glass, fibreglass and many other materials. Suitable for renovation work on buildings.
1. Remove the protective strip from the tape, apply the VKP PIU tape in the joint, taking advantage of the adhesive strength.
2. The expansion takes place on its own and progressively by generating a light force that presses on the opposite surface.
3. Hermetic sealing of the joint with compensation of irregularities. No further application of sealant is required.
The speed of expansion depends on the storage time and the ambient temperature. The longer the storage time and the lower the temperature, the slower the expansion takes place.
