Membrane that acts as a vapour retarder, regulating the passage of water vapour from the inside of a building to the outside and preventing the formation of harmful condensation in the thermal insulation
Composition
- Top layer: water-repellent, non-slip and UV-stabilised polypropylene (PP) protective coating
- Middle layer: vapour retarder membrane
- Bottom layer: absorbent polypropylene (PP) protective coating
Airtight
- Stops air escaping from the inside
- Prevents heat loss and helps save energy
Correct breathability
- Excellent thermal insulation protection
- Improves living comfort
- Helps stop condensation forming in the thermal insulation if used in combination with highly-breathable roof membranes (Wütop® Trio, Wütop® 170, Wütop® ND, applied to the cold side (outside))
2SK version
- Double-sided adhesive tape built into the overlap area for excellent hermetic sealing
- No need for additional adhesive tapes to seal the joints
EN 13984
Classification according to UNI 11470-2015: class B
Follow the installation instructions carefully
Installation must be finished to a professional standard by sealing joints and unions with adhesive tape from the Eurasol® and Eurasol® plus range
EN 13984
Classification according to UNI 11470-2015: class B
For laying directly on roof decking, under the thermal insulation
Regulates the diffusion of water vapour
For environments with normal indoor temperatures and relative humidity
To be applied to the warm side (inside) of the roof or wall
Installation instructions:
- The Wütop® DB 5-150/DB 5-150 2SK vapour retarder sheeting must be laid under the thermal insulation covering, always on the warm side (inside) of the roof, and must lie across or parallel to the beams. When laying in parallel, the joins between the sheets must always correspond with a joist or solid support
- Fix the sheeting in place using staples or nails, overlapping each by at least 10 cm and sealing overlaps with adhesive tape from the Eurasol®, Eurasol® P range
- Where the vapour retarder meets the masonry, leave a strip of 20 cm and glue using Wütop® adhesive for sheeting
- Where there are openings or gaps in the roof (chimneys, skylights etc.), cut the sheeting and position it in such a way as to prevent air escaping. Surround the element with the sheeting and raise the sides. Glue and seal the joins with adhesive tape from the Eurasol® range (see above) to restore the hermetic seal
- When laying the sheeting, carefully check that it is in perfect condition and that there is no damage of any kind (cuts, abrasions, etc.)
- Insulation must be laid within a maximum of 3 months of laying the sheeting
