For sealing joints that come into contact with drinking water or food, e.g. in commercial kitchens, butcher's shops, breweries, on sales counters and in walk-in refrigerators and for aquarium construction.
- The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, dry and free from grease, rust and water
- Do not apply in heavy rain
- Check the joint dimensions
- Backfill the joints with PE backer rod
- Adhesion can be improved on absorbent or porous surfaces by using an adhesion primer, e.g. silicone primer
- Smoothing agents must only be used before the skin forms and must then be completely levelled with a smoothing tool. Remove any excess product around the joint immediately to prevent staining.
